How to prepare

  • Pause retinoids, glycolic and salicylic acids for 3–5 days before your appointment.
  • Skip waxing, laser or injectables in the two weeks prior.
  • Arrive with clean skin if you can — no need for makeup.
  • Tell us about Accutane, tretinoin, pregnancy or recent sun exposure at booking.

Aftercare

  • Wear SPF 30+ daily; freshly exfoliated skin burns fast in Phoenix sun.
  • Skip hot yoga, saunas and heavy workouts for 24 hours.
  • Hold off on retinoids and acids for 3–5 days.
  • Hydrate morning and night, and rebook at four to six weeks for compounding results.

How often should I get a facial?
Every four to six weeks matches your skin's natural renewal cycle. If we're treating acne, congestion or pigmentation, we may start closer together for the first few visits, then move you to maintenance.
Which facial should I book for my first visit?
Start with the $85 Signature Facial. It's fully customized, and it lets Amber assess how your skin responds before adding dermaplaning or microdermabrasion next time.
What's the difference between dermaplaning and microdermabrasion?
Dermaplaning removes dead surface cells and peach fuzz with a sterile blade — instant smoothness and glow. Microdermabrasion resurfaces a little deeper with abrasion and suction, better for texture, congestion and post-acne marks.
Will dermaplaning make my hair grow back thicker?
No. Vellus hair grows back at the same texture and color it was before. It only feels different for a day or two because the ends are blunt rather than tapered.
Are facials safe during pregnancy?
Yes — we simply swap out retinoids and certain actives for pregnancy-safe alternatives. Let us know at booking so the treatment is planned around it.
