Frequently Asked Questions

The questions I answer most on the table — facials, waxing, prep and studio policies.

How often should I get a facial?
Every four to six weeks is the sweet spot — that matches your skin's natural renewal cycle. If you're treating acne, congestion or pigmentation, we may start closer together for the first few visits and then space you out on a maintenance plan.
How long should my hair be before a wax?
About a quarter inch, roughly two to three weeks of growth. Shorter than that and the wax can't grip; much longer and the service is more uncomfortable. Skip shaving between appointments so we can keep you on a smooth four-week rhythm.
Does waxing hurt, and how do I prep?
There's a quick sting, but hard wax on sensitive areas makes it very manageable. Exfoliate gently a day or two before, arrive clean and dry, avoid caffeine and retinoids for 24 hours, and consider an over-the-counter pain reliever 30 minutes prior if you're sensitive.
Is a facial or wax safe if I'm pregnant or on acne medication?
Pregnancy-safe facials and most waxing are absolutely fine — we simply adjust products and avoid certain actives. If you're on Accutane, tretinoin or another prescription retinoid, waxing is off the table until you've been off it for six months, so let me know at booking.
What's your cancellation and late policy?
Please give 24 hours' notice to reschedule. Later than that or a no-show holds 50% of the service. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may mean a shortened treatment so the next guest still starts on time.
